41M Schooner Altair Arrives For Refit at Oceania Marine

The historic schooner Altair has hauled out at Oceania Marine’s North Shipyard, Port Whangarei, New Zealand. She has been de-rigged in readiness to enter the shipyard’s premier refit/paint Shed A. She measures 33M on deck and was constructed by Fife & Co in 1931.

The vessel commenced her refit afloat and will complete out of the water works at the Shipyard. The main item on the worklist is repainting underwater hull and topsides. These should be completed in approximately six weeks.
