Oceania Marine Successfully Completes 30M Superyacht Repaint Project
Superyacht Maverick, originally built in 2003 by top Dutch yard Kuipers, was relaunched in January 2013 after a full exterior repaint at Oceania Marine. Completed in just over 10 weeks the project covered underwater hull, topsides and superstructure. All work was carried out under cover in Paint Shed C at Oceania Marine shipyard in Port Whangarei, New Zealand. To see Photostream CLICK HERE.
Managing Director, Martin Gleeson, says: “This is the first full repaint of the 2013 season and it is great to get it done to such a level of excellence and client satisfaction as it sets the standard for the projects that follow. I take ‘my hat off’ to the paint team of Oceania Marine Coatings and the project managers here at the shipyard for the job they have done.”
Jim Loynes, Oceania Marine Yacht Liaison, was involved in the project from the outset and says: “There is nothing more satisfying than seeing something through to such a great result. The vessel topsides are finished in a very striking Awlgrip ‘Stars and Stripes’ and with her Awlgrip ‘Matterhorn White’ superstructure she is sure to impress wherever she goes.”
The Shipyard now moves on to two more major yacht refits to be completed over the next two months.
