Oceania Marine’s Upgraded Shipyard at Port Whangarei Attracts Superyachts
With the new 560T travel lift working in tandem with the existing 100T machine, Oceania Marine’s South Shipyard is attracting clients from the South Pacific’s superyacht fleet. The yard is conveniently situated in Port Whangarei located in the northern part of New Zealand at the centre of one of New Zealand’s major marine refit and construction centres.
Port Whangarei offers everything from large yacht berthage and in the water servicing to a range of options for full refits and maintenance. This is supported by a commercial and retail centre that can supply parts and materials for anything that servicing the modern superyacht requires.
Superyachts entering New Zealand waters have the choice of two ports of entry in the northern region at the ports of Opua and Marsden Point (located at the entrance to Whangarei Harbour). Inward clearance and yacht support can be provided by Oceania Yacht Agency or by an agent of client’s choice. Oceania’s yacht agent Virginia Craig adds:
